📍Location: Antipaxos Island, Ionian Sea 🕶️ Best time to visit: Morning (before 11:00) 🚤 Access: Small boat from Paxos or day trip from Corfu
✨ A dreamy turquoise escape
Voutoumi Beach is arguably the most stunning beach on Antipaxos – famous for its turquoise, crystal-clear waters and bright white pebbles. It’s perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and capturing postcard-worthy photos.
Voutoumi Beach is one of the most popular beaches on Antipaxos, which means it gets quite busy, especially between 11:00 AM and 3:30 PM. If you want to enjoy it with fewer people, it’s best to arrive early, ideally before 11:00 AM.
Access to the beach is mostly by small boats (water taxis or day trip boats) that depart from Gaios (on Paxos island). During summer, boats run roughly every 20–30 minutes, and the journey takes around 10–15 minutes. The round-trip fare is around €20 per person. If you’re visiting via an organized boat or water taxi from Gaios, keep in mind that you usually need to be back by 5:30 PM, as departures become less frequent or stop altogether. Be sure to confirm your return time with the captain!
If you follow the footpath up the hill behind the beach, you’ll discover one of the best viewpoints in the Ionian. From there, you’ll truly grasp why this beach is called a hidden gem.
🗺️ Tip: Don’t forget to take a panoramic photo from the hilltop overlooking the entire bay – it’s one of the most photographed spots on the island!
🍽️ Bella Vista – The Taste of the Ionian
Before heading back, make sure to dine at Bella Vista, a traditional Greek taverna perched above the beach with the best view on Antipaxos.
On the menu:
Fresh fish and seafood
Traditional Greek salads & small plates
Local wines from Paxos and the region
And who knows… you might spot a celebrity enjoying their meal right next to you! Bella Vista is famous for welcoming famous guests who love to enjoy a laid-back meal away from the spotlight – just like any other traveler.
🌅 End your day with a glass of wine, a view of the sunset, and the feeling that you’ve discovered one of the most magical corners of Greece.
